Hang On

What we will see will only last for a short time, but what we cannot see will last forever.  2 Corinthians 4:18

2013 has arrived and for many of us we have gladly said so long to 2012. I myself have faced many struggles in 2012 some of which I left behind and a few I have managed to bring with me into this new year, and asking "Seriously God? How long is this going to last?"

For some of you, the journey has been long.Very long and stormy...In no way do I wish to minimize the struggles you have had to face along the way. Some have shouldered burdens that few of us could ever carry. You have bid farewell to life-long partners, parents or siblings. You have been robbed of life-long dreams, and have been given bodies that are breaking down way before the warranty is up. You have family who can't tolerate your faith and make you feel misunderstood. You have bills that outnumber the paychecks and challenges that seem to outweigh the strength...

And you are tired.....

Its hard for you to see the City in the midst of the storms..the light at the end of the tunnel. The desire to  pull over to the side of the road come to a  screeching halt and get out entices you.
You want to go on, but most days the road seems to long....

Much to long to work overtime.
Much to long to fit in a story after bath time.
Much to long to listen to a friend on the other end of the line go on and on about her long road.
Much to long to spend extra time reading your Bible.

Let me encourage you.....God never said that the journey would be easy, but he did say that there is light at the end of the tunnel and the arrival would be worthwhile.

Trust him my friend because what we can't see will last forever! Blessings!

Anonymous Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my favorite verses! 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I have it written many places to always remind me God has a plan for me!!
